Chris Cornell Vocal Cover
Temple of the Dog - Call me a Dog
When I was first learning how to sing, Chris Cornell was just one of those "out of reach" guys for me. The high range, the power, the grit, the intensity, the surprising low range.
^ And I had none of it. I could barely sing the first few words of a song like "Call me a dog" from the Temple of the Dog album - let alone nail the whole song in one go like I've shown you above.
So exactly WHAT changed in my approach to allow me to sing such crazy high stuff with ease? Honestly, it wasn't really just one thing that changed - it was everything. But the most important of all has really been The Four Vocal Fundamentals;
- Forward Placement
- Mixed Tonality
- All in one flow
- Height in the vocal tract
Seriously, EVERY single technique, tip, trick and term out there relates back to just one of these simple fundamentals. And once you learn this, the vocal world is truly your oyster, because you'll start to understand WHY things haven't been working for you, and also develop a solution and approach for absolutely any song, any range, any note or any style that someone could throw at you.
So, lets make it happen by mastering The Four Vocal Fundamentals:
This is the calibre of singing you can expect from The Four Vocal Fundamentals
