You might be shocked to hear of a voice teacher that wasn't just magically blessed with a multiple octave range, distortion on tap and absolute freedom in my voice. You might even this it's bad business to admit that I was an awful singer to begin with, and don't have one lick of natural talent in my bones as a singer.
Isn't everyone else out there carrying on about how great they are, how much better they are than everyone else, and how great YOU'RE going to be when you hand over your hard earned dollars to them?
Context is incredibly important when it comes to learning how to sing - I basically couldn't sing at ALL when I first started singing, and even for many years while I was taking serious vocal training - I just had this sinking feeling that I just "wasn't meant to be a singer".
Maybe you can relate...
I tried twang, support, speech level singing, bel canto, open throat, singing light, belting, pushing, screaming, falsetto - but nothing really made a dent in my lack of vocal prowess
Was I doomed to just be a bad singer?
I've gotta be honest with you, it didn't matter how many courses I bought, how many thousands of dollars I spent on lessons, how many years I took coaching - nothing changed for me as a singer until I realised that not all singers are created equal.
That's right, "natural" singers just get certain things right from the get-go that the rest of us just don't start out doing in the right way - things like placement, breathing, even the tone of your voice and your vowels.
Your "foundation" as a singer, so to speak.
You could literally train lip trills and NAY sounds until the cows come home and you will NEVER get better as a singer until you first develop a rock solid foundation as a singer
When I finally realised that singing was really a game of 'lining up your ducks' when it came to technique rather than a muscular game of pushing and flexing, and that there was a very specific way to start even the smallest sounds and notes, and there was a highly particular way you needed to sing your vowel sounds just beyond the hoping and guessing and PUSHING that I had really been struggling with for far too long... my whole world changed as a singer.
And the Foundation Vocal Course is going to be that same game changer for your voice.
