There's about a million vocal courses online.

I'm serious.

I just did a quick search on google and there is quite literally 32,000,000 results for "vocal courses online".

32 million different folks trying to help you sing... or trying to take your money.

So how exactly do you know what is legit and where exactly should you start when you're looking to learn how to sing with vocal courses online?

I'm going to come at this a little left field by telling you 4 things that you WON'T learn from vocal courses online.

I know, I know - you're expecting for me to gush about just how GREAT the courses here are at FoundationVocalCourse.com (and yes, they're obviously awesome), but instead I'm going to tell you 4 shortcomings of every vocal course out there, including my own.

Call it Aussie altruism, blunt honesty or just plain hubris - but I'm about to drop a truth bomb on you about vocal courses online.

#1 - Vocal "workouts" do absolutely NOTHING for your voice

But wait, you've tried that lip trill scale from Mr. YouTube-Guy-Who-Says-He's-The-Best-Ever and you swear it helped warm up your voice and get you in the 'pocket', right?

Sure, in a superficial sense, you're using your voice in ways you've probably never used it before, or at least not often.

Lip Trills are always going to help you warm up your voice.

But can you honestly tell me that you've been doing a "vocal gym" style warmup with page after page of vocal drills - and you've since become an absolute DYNAMITE singer and you're conquering the world's stage with your singing prowess?

No?

That's because "vocal workouts" really don't teach you anything at all.

Sure, you might fluke a few of the sounds and get a little bit of superficial benefit here and there.

But the ultimate truth is that singing isn't really a game of "practice makes perfect" - it's really an intellectual game of "perfect practice makes perfect" in many ways.

Let's be honest for a second, all the MAMAMA's and GUGUGUG's in the world won't show you the real relationship between the TA and CT muscles, and all the mixed voice exercises in the world will do absolutely SQUAT for your voice if you're not able to actually sing in mixed voice already so these exercises can work their magic - same thing for vowel modification scales; if you're literally changing your AH vowel into an OH vowel, you're not actually modifying the vowel within your vocal tract; you're just singing a different vowel - and your actual singing will NEVER improve.

Sure, warmups are important, scales are obviously important - drills, slides, exercises etc.

But they absolutely MUST be practiced with intent and the right approach - something that actually drove me to design the courses here at FoundationVocalCourse.com; an absolute lack in the world of vocal courses online of a practical yet fundamental approach to singing.

Functional anatomy without it being rocket science.

Practicality without treating you like you're stupid or oversimplifying.

There's a reason that you've arrived here in the #1 results when you searched for online singing courses, how to sing high notes - or the many other skills that you'll learn in the courses here.

Basically, singing is a game of learning the skill both in an anatomical and practical way - including both physical control of the mechanism, but also involuntary control related to your tonality and your intention when you sing.

The Foundation Vocal Course is both super function in terms of learning the required anatomy and literal knowledge about the voice without degenerating into weird metaphors - but also and extreme level of practicality; basically, education that works.

Go and research almost any other vocal method out there, and you're going to see page after page after page after page of exercises and drills without basis - "oh, just do them more and they'll eventually work"; you're smart enough to know that's absolute bullshit, or maybe you've even fallen down that rabbit hole before and you've seen first hand that it absolutely does NOT work.

Because vocal warmups on their own do absolutely squat for your voice with the educational basis behind HOW, WHY, WHEN and WHERE you need to do these exercises, and for what purposes when it comes to actually applying the exercise and concepts you're developing in real singing.

If you want to see how I really learned to sing - going from a struggling singer with no range, a tired voice and absolute desperation about my lack of progress over YEARS of singing lessons, watch the video below and add your details underneath to get your free vocal blueprint.

#2 - How to actually apply it all in real songs

Courses are great for learning technique, learning scales and piecing together your voice like a puzzle.

But when it comes to singing actual songs, learning where and how to sing each vowel sound - vocal courses online are obviously going to fall short of the experience of being in a room with a seasoned voice teacher explaining exactly how things work, why things are going wrong and ultimately HOW to sing actual songs.

This was a consistent experience for me when I was first learning how to sing - "you just sing the vowel like this"; which was all good and well, but what about the hundreds to thousands of different WORDS you actually need to sing, not to mention consonants, different registers, phrasing and I could go on.

Vocal courses online will always come up slightly short compared to a direct interaction with your voice coach.

    Until now.

The courses here at FoundationVocalCourse.com actually have a 'discussion' feature on each lesson where you can ask me a question DIRECTLY.

    Not someone in my team.

    Not my assistant.

    Not another learner singer.

    Me personally.

Just hit that 'discussion' button and I'll answer your questions every single step along the way.

Further to that, you'll actually be given anatomy quizzes along the way to make sure your practical and anatomical knowledge is up to scratch, and there's even an assignment at the end of The Foundation Vocal Course where you'll send me a recording that will be marked according to the vowel chart you'll send through.

These courses really are NEXT LEVEL when it comes to vocal courses online - plus, you can sign up for a free preview for any of my courses at any time!

    #3 - Context

This one applies to voice coaching of any kind - context of your singing teacher's own abilities and learning curve.

    Did they struggle?

    Were they a natural?

Let's face it, you're going to have a hard time learning to speak French from a 15 year old kid who grew up speaking French from day one - they really don't know "how" they learned to do it, they just did it naturally.

And singing is much the same.

Some people are just awesome singers.

    It's the truth.

So when you see a voice teacher on YouTube wailing high C's like nobodies business - it's definitely impressive, but, did they actually have to learn HOW to do that, or did they always have that high range?

If it's the latter, you're not going to learn diddly squat from their vocal course, because while they're awesome singers, and while they can share the exercises that worked for them, they've actually got no idea about how to actually teach you to sing better - and they're definitely going to lack empathy for the issues you're currently experiencing; because they simply didn't struggle to sing well.

Did you watch the video above? You've seen the super pro singing voice that I now enjoy - with many octaves of connected range, power, finesse and confidence, right? But you also saw my "before" where I was shredding my voice like swiss cheese before I mastered the blueprint that I also shared with you.

The scary thing is that my "before" video is actually AFTER I took weekly singing lessons for ten years.

    Ten Years.

Let that soak in for a minute.

You can tell I definitely wasn't a natural, had zero range and you can see my blowing my voice out right before your eyes.

... And then you'll see what the Vocal Blueprint has done for my singing voice; but also what it's going to do for YOUR singing voice if you're in that same position of straining, struggling and blowing your voice out two songs into the set.

Context is key when it comes to vocal courses online.

And Foundation Vocal Course is a method built from the ground up by someone who once struggled with singing just like you are right now... but reached the other side and lived to tell you the tale of how exactly to get there using a proven method and serious research.

    #4 - Tailored Feedback

Imagine learning how to sing French from a textbook with no feedback on how you're pronouncing each of the sounds.

You'll probably do "okay" at best.

But you're definitely not going to sound like a natural French speaker once you finish the book, right?

What you really need is someone right there in the room with you who is trained and experienced in the nuances of the voice and the language to really help you with the minutiae and variables that come with your native accend and language, and how that actually translates into speaking French.

Learning how to sing is much the same.

I can throw the vocal encyclopedia at you and recite every tip, term and trick in the book - I can even show you each one in a set of videos.

But it's really neutral coaching with no consideration for your voice type, your current level, your personal struggles - again, you're not getting that face to face immediate feedback on what YOU are actually doing compared to what you really SHOULD be doing.

So I've not only designed a special "discussion" feature in the Foundation Vocal Course that allows you to ask me a question at any time, in any lesson, on any topic - literally any question you have as you work through course; I've also designed a special assignment module where you first do a written exam on vowel phonetics to make sure you understand tongue positioning for your vowel groupings, but a final assignment where you actually send me an audio recording of you singing the vocal lines or song from your phonetics exercise and I'll actually appraise your technique, point you back to certain lessons within the course and give you personalised training and advice around any issues that are coming up.

This is literally the closest thing you can get to a face to face vocal lesson with me directly and is a whole new approach to teaching the voice through vocal courses online.

So let's get real for a second; you obviously want to learn how to sing, and I've got over a decade of experience as a professional voice teacher, and over 20 years on the clock as a singer myself.

So let me tell you exactly HOW I went from the exact same position you're in right now - struggling and straining on high notes, unable to sing your favourite songs and even wondering whether you have what it takes to be a good singer at all; to the super professional voice you'll see in my "before and after" video below.

Watch the video below to learn exactly HOW I went from a struggling singer with a bad voice to a seasoned pro with one simple tool, then add your details below and I'll send you a copy of my famous vocal blueprint!
