Can you learn to sing if you can't sing?

So you're not a natural singer.

This whole singing thing is REALLY difficult - but you've definitely been trying.

If you had a dollar for every YouTube voice coach video you watched...

So you're starting to wonder if you really CAN still learn to sing if you can't sing well to begin with?

And it's a question I used to ask myself every single day;

"Maybe my favourite singers just have a magical gift that I'll never have?"

It would be the easiest answer if that were true, but it's fundamentally false.

That's not to say that learning to sing is "easy", because it's obviously not.

But, the fact you're THINKING that it's difficult is really your downfall.

You're looking at the bigger picture instead of the small task at hand.

Break it down into one task, then a second task, then a third one and so forth.

But currently, you're trying to work out the secret to being the BEST singer in the world, right?

^ It's really a game of incremental steps rather than magic, secrets or weightlifting.

Your first take might be connecting chest and head voice, your second might be to master vowel modification on one vowel, then two vowels etc.

And I get how you feel - because I've been exactly where you are right now; questioning whether I really had what it takes to become a good singer.

I actually took singing lessons for TEN years and still felt exactly the same way - because I just wasn't seeing any progress or movement in my singing ability.

And those tough questions started to come up more and more - maybe I should just give up? Maybe my voice is damaged? Maybe I just suck.

But instead of resigning myself to a lifetime of struggling and straining, I started extending those questions to the COACHING that I had been receiving.

"okay - you want me to yawn before I sing; what happens anatomically when that happens, and how does this help me sing actual songs?"

"okay - you want me to take my chest voice higher there; what is actually happening in the TA and CT muscles when this happens?"

And I was absolutely SHOCKED at the amount of blank-looks I got from my teachers.

Or responses like "oh, you don't need to know that" or "you're overthinking it".

So I started to research the real questions that I had instead of yet another coach who was telling me to yawn and practice lip trills more and more and more.

If I had to practice lip trills ONE more time I might just have thrown myself off a bridge.

I'd been at this for TEN freakin' years.

It didn't work.

So I started researching and seeking REAL answers to my REAL questions.

And what I ended up with was a "blueprint" for my singing voice; how it works, when things change, WHY things change and exactly HOW to do it.

Watch this video below and I'll show you exactly how I turned everything around for myself as a singer after getting stuck in the exactly same position that you're in right now:
