You've probably been feeling like you're just not a 'natural' as a singer - and you're starting to ask the question; can anyone learn to sing?
After three hours watching YouTube vocal training videos and making all the funny sounds under the sun - you're pretty sure you've actually LOST range now that your voice is tired and you're more frustrated than ever.
Sound familiar?
It does to me - because that was me in a nutshell when I was learning how to sing; wasting hours and hours of my life in useless singing lessons doing useless vocal exercises while continuing to be totally USELESS as a singer.
I kept wondering if there was something wrong with me, or can anyone learn to sing... really?
I felt like giving up.
I definitely wasn't a natural.
... and I sure as hell couldn't sing very well.
That is, I couldn't sing very well UNTIL I discovered "the blueprint" to all great singing. And instruction manual for my voice. The secret of how to put it all into practice in real songs. ... and never miss a single note ever again. This "vocal blueprint" has become the cornerstone of my approach as a vocal coach with over a decade+ of experience teaching singers just like you all around the world. I consider it a proprietary secret to my teaching approach; but I'm about to share it with you completely free and with no obligation. I want to give you the 'leg up' in your singing that I received when I first discovered this secret approach to great singing. |
But first, let's talk about HOW your singing voice really works.
You're obviously aware that you have a set of vocal folds, a diaphragm with which to breath with, and a mouth to pronounce your words - right?
What if I told you that each vowel sound is actually made up of TWO different 'formants' (aka groups of frequencies), one behind the tongue and one in front of the tongue?
And that the velum at the back of your mouth actually raises up to create resonant space for the structure of your vowel - which your vocal tract itself actually alters size and shape to ring out these formants in the best way through each register?
And that your vocal folds actually make upwards of 12+ different tones at the same time - not just one 'pitch' that you hear when you sing.
If any of this is 'news' to you - then you've discovered a massive flaw in your fundamental understanding of the voice, and likely discovered the reason that you're "not a natural".
Sure, some singers just nail it and get it pretty right naturally - but I'm not talking about those guys on YouTube who tell you to 'sing like you speak' or sing 'with an open throat' that really don't know what they're talking about (dear Ken Tamplin - the AA vowel you're demonstrating is actually the SMALLEST structure of any vowel in the back, so technically, you're 'closing' your vowel space - not 'making more space for the vowel' like you say. FFS)
I'm talking about singers like you and me that actually need to 'learn' a thing or two about how our voices actually work to be able to piece it all together and become better singers.
And this is exactly what the vocal blueprint is going to do for you - give you the fundamental understand and foundation that natural singers enjoy; but with an actual understanding of the how/where/why of each shift in your voice so you can sing with one long note from your lowest to your highest note without breaking a sweat.
It's pretty powerful stuff.
Check out this Alice In Chains vocal cover I sang here in my teaching studio. Many years ago I could barely sing the first two words of any Layne Staley song without blowing my voice out - but now every AIC song is a total breeze that I'm using what I'm sharing with you. |
If you put a total learner behind the wheel of a car without telling them how to shift gears, they're going to trash the gearbox, right? And worse still, even if they kindof work it out on their own, they're going to crash the car because they don't know the fundamentals of looking left, looking right, road rules etc.
They might own a car, they might even love going for a drive - but they're just not ready to get behind the wheel of a death machine.
And singers are the same - we're often put behind the wheel of our voices with a pair of blinders on, told to practice weird sounds until we're magically supposed to just "get it" one day on our own.
And this is why I've designed the Foundation Vocal Course Blueprint - a roadmap for your voice.
What if I told you that there was a specific vowel shift, specific tone and specific balance of pressure required to sing in mixed voice? In fact, the TWO different registers of mixed voice, TA-dominant mix and CT-dominant mix?
No?
If you don't understand these absolute fundamentals in your singing voice, then you at least understand why it all hasn't been working for you.
You've basically been stuck in "the vocal matrix" - being fed a reality about singing that just isn't true. "Oh, you just support more" and "open your throat", when in fact the truth is far from these common stereotypes; there are real anatomical shifts and harmonic shifts that NEED to happen in your voice.
And you're only going to find out about them if you take the red pill and step outta the matrix, NEO.
Or, you can take the easy way out with the 'blue' pill and step back onto that YouTube treadmill of video after video after video just telling you the same crap over and over and over again.
Better yet, you can watch the video below and then add your details below to get my free Vocal Blueprint - and red pill the hell outta your voice.
